On Friday, 5 May, Gomer Press will launch  Dŵr yn yr Afon,  a novel by a new, exciting Welsh-language author. Heiddwen Tomos tells the story of a farming family in west Wales in a dark, gripping novel.

One of the UK's foremost wildlife photographers, David Bailey, will be publishing a striking collection of images in his first book,  Wildlife Wanderer.  To mark the publication, launch events will be held at the Drill Hall in Chepstow on 27 April and at the National Library of Wales in Aberystwyth on 6 May.

20 New Books for Welsh Learners to be Published - 3 Apr 2017

The Welsh Books Council is very pleased to announce a tender for the publication of 20 leisure books aimed at adults learning Welsh. This is done in conjunction with the National Centre for Learning Welsh, the new organisation responsible for the Welsh for Adults education programme.

This April, the Welsh Books Council are organising an Author Tour with a difference as part of their successful  @LlyfrDaFabBooks  scheme. Past events have included school visits by authors such as Siân Lewis, Griff Rowland and Dan Anthony, but this time pupils will meet the author whilst on a train journey!
