Gŵyl Lyfrau Aberaeron Book Festival - 26 October 2018

The first Gŵyl Lyfrau Aberaeron Book Festival is to be held at Aberaeron Memorial Hall over the weekend of 3rd & 4th November, kicking off at 2pm on the Saturday with a free story-telling session for children in Welsh and English, introduced by Gorsgoch writer and poet Karen Gemma Brewer. Aberystwyth author and illustrator Peter Stevenson will then share Welsh Folk Tales, suitable for adults and children aged eight and upwards, followed at 3pm by a mischievous story and craft session in Welsh, suitable for children aged 3-10, with Meleri Wyn James, author of the popular Na, Nel! series.

On Sunday (4th), from 10am-4pm, the main hall will host an exciting book fair with local and national publishers and authors represented and many pre-Christmas bargains on offer including exclusive signed editions, children’s books, teen-fiction, modern fiction and a wide range of non-fiction. There will also be free workshops on ‘starting your autobiography’ and ‘using place as character in creative writing’ headed by Annette Ecuyere, book readings, signings and launches with opportunities to meet and talk with writers, editors and publishers, advice on getting your own work into print and even guidance on getting your book into book shops.
