Publishing the Rosser Report into Welsh-language Books for Children and Young People - 01 December 2017

The report includes a good number of recommendations which will not only direct the Books Council’s work but will also challenge the wider industry, from the publishers to the booksellers, as well as challenging the Council’s partners, from Welsh Government to the media and other Welsh cultural institutions, regarding their role in promoting reading and the marketing of books for children and young people. Helgard Krause, Chief Executive of the Welsh Books Council, said: "This is an important report which will offer direction for this field for years to come. We’re pleased to say, having shared the report with the Council’s main panels and committees, that it has had a warm reception. Even though a number of the recommendations may take time to implement, I’m glad to say that work has already commenced on many of them."
