Daniel Owen Memorial Prize 2014 - 05 August 2014

Lleucu Roberts, a native of Bow Street, Ceredigion, who now lives in Rhostryfan near Caernarfon, has won the Daniel Owen Memorial Prize for 2014 at the National Eisteddfod, for her novel,  Rhwng Edafedd.

The Daniel Owen Memorial Prize is awarded for a novel with a strong story line, and the adjudicators were Gareth Davies Jones, Caryl Lewis and Bethan Mair.

RHWNG EDAFEDD: Eifion is about to jump off Menai Bridge. He craves an escape from a life of failure. He's failed in his marriage, in business and in his relationship with his family. But at the critical moment when he is about to take the final step into darkness, Dewi comes to disrupt his plans.
